Visual and performing artists are abundant in the 1000 Islands. In addition to the venues listed here, many special arts events are presented by local organizations. Throughout the summer you can enjoy a lively schedule of theater productions, gallery exhibits and special museum shows.
Public galleries stretch from community-supported outlets in Sackets Harbor and Cape Vincent to universtiy expositions in Kingston.
The Brockville Arts Centre regularly attracts top-notch singers and dance acts. The Thousand Island Playhouse, Gananoque, offers live theatre on the St. Lawrence River shore.
Thanks to the work for tireless volunteers, the Clayton Opera House is once again bringing variety shows and entertainment to its burgeoning riverside community. The Grand Theatre, Kingston, reopened last summer after three years of renovation and is now presenting hundreds of music, dance and variety performances.
