Prescott & The Seaway Valley...
The
Forwarders’ Museum tells the story of the first roads,
stagecoaches, wagons, ferries and railroads, and explores
the building of canals. The Battle of the Windmill National
Historic Site commemorates the 1838 Rebellion Battle. Fort
Wellington, a National Historic Park, reflects the year 1846
in both its building and staff dressed in period costume.
Fort Wellington also plays host to several annual cultural
events, including the Celtic Festival, the Naval Gun Run,
and Shakespeare in the Park.
Throughout the warmer months, scuba divers explore a wealth of historic wrecks in crystal clear waters. In winter, outdoor enthusiasts enjoy miles of well-groomed snowmobile trails and the Prescott Frost Festival, featuring skating and dog sled races.
