Fishing for Freedom Thousand Islands Bass Tournament honors Active Military by celebrating freedom and outdoor recreation in Northern New York. It is also a fundraiser for the Fort Drum USO and the Carthage Area Hospital.
Cost of Participation: $65 per angler.
With the collaboration of World Fishing Network Organizations, “Army Bass Anglers,” and “Bass Champs,” we have the opportunity to bring some of the best anglers in the country to the majestic Thousand Islands. Although an amateur event, this is a professional-grade tournament that draws crowds from all over the state and beyond.
Fishing for Freedom Thousand Islands kicks off the night before the tournament with a BBQ banquet and live auction for all registered anglers, families, Active Duty Military and the General Public. Anglers and families can enjoy fellowship and check out the competition. The tournament will begin bright and early the following morning. The grounds of Bonnie Castle will provide onlookers with incredible scenery as well as an opportunity to visit local vendors and participate in other activities.
The general public is encouraged to attend. No admission fee for spectators.
